SPIRIT MASK FROM THE SEPIK REGION OF PAPUA NEW GUINEA. Very appealing appearance with lovely patina. Eyes are made from shells and the pattern is in typical Sepik style.

Most items were collected by ourselves while we were living and working in Papua New Guinea in the 1980's. We are now downsizing from our large old farmhouse to something more manageable for our age.

Some carvings have signs of wear and tear due to age. Some have cracking which occurs as a result of taking items from the tropics to a colder, drier environment.
