Ancient Circular pig Tooth from the Papuan Gulf, Papua New Guinea

This near ful circle Pig tooth was collected in the Papuan Gulf and would have been worn as a necklace signifying status. Circular pig teeth were a trade item from West New Britain all the way to Kikori in the Gulf. They are a currency or trade valuable as well as an adornment.
