Authentic Papua New Guinea Stone Tribal Axe. In July 1968 Leif volunteered to serve a 2-year term as a short-term agriculture missionary to Papua New Guinea. Because of to a shortage of volunteers Leif actually stayed an additional 6 months in New Guinea to finished out the school year which ended December of 1970. Artifacts, carvings and other items listed here, were for the most part, designed and carved by students in New Guinea as a token of appreciation for bringing them the good news about the love of Jesus.
