Bilum Bag Papua New Guinea Natural Twine String Sepik Png

Bilums are the women's traditional carrying bags from Papua New Guinea. They are handmade from natural materials and traditional colored. Women of the villages used the bilums for carrying firewood, vegetables and babies too. They are strong and increase in size with heavy loads.

The weaving technique allows it to expand and contract easily. This bilum is a traditional authentic collector piece with Beautiful colors. At the time I've used in bilum carry different things I had acquired in Papua New Guinea. Since then I haven't used it.

The bilum is in very good condition. Length: 18 inches (45 cm). Width: 16 inches(40 cm). And much more in the villages I visited. If you are interested please check out my additional items.
