Female Ancestral Figure with snake from Papua New Guinea. Carved wood with traces of paints in various colours, nose septum has tribal decoration of bush twine with cowrie and toea shells. Belly has tribal scarification pattern.

The figure is entwined by a snake, the tail of which enters the genitalia of the female. Genuine antique appearence with obvious signs of age. Not free standing, looks good leaning against a white wall or in the corner a a room. Height - 131 cm weight 5.
