This beautiful and finely woven headdress would have been used in the Rimbu Indali ceremony by the Kewa People who originate from the Southern Highlands of New Guinea. Collected in the 1970's the piece is made from tightly woven natural fibres with thickly applied white and black ochre decoration. It measures 43cm x 36cm.
