Massim Kula Spatula from Woodlark Island Papua New Guinea

These spatulas are found only on Woodlark island and are made from bone and decorated in a similar fashion as other Kula Items. This example has a really good patina and is pre-1940's for the bone if not earlier. The beads like other Kula items get replaced and this one has both glass and plastic beads.
