Old Southern Massim Sudest Currency Spatula Papua New Guinea. This one has had the shell bagi removed but is still a great example of a unique currency sceptre. According to Harry Beran in Massim Lime Spatula's "Most of the cresent-topped spatulas made in the 19th C have 2 bird heads back to back". It has MSR incised on one side but not by the same hand as made the spatula and with strong missionary presence from 1900 on I would guess this one is from 1920's.
