This is a wonderful Woven Talipun Crown Mask from the Boiken People from the Yangoru Village of the Prince Alexander Mountains in Papua New Guinea. Talipun in pidgin means bride-prices and the Boiken people from the Yangoru village of Prince Alexander Mountains are best known for those trade valuables consisting of small, woven-cane masks or figures attached to carefully cut spiral section of the shell.
