A very fine and rare YUAT river / Lower Sepik mask board from Papua New Guinea, dating back to the first half of the 20th century. The authentic mask or spirit board. Made for ritual use, not for tourists. Is made of mid-density wood, the surface partially blackened with pigments. The mask comes from a German collection.

The height of the mask is 58.5 cm or approx. A metal stand is included.
