Traditionnal bamboo flute collected in Kamanibit village on Sepik river valley, in Papua new guinea. This kind of sacred flutes are played, usually in pairs, during ceremonies and initiations in the villages. They are considered to be the voices of the clans' ancestor spirits. The top represents a mythic ancestor and is used to hang up the flute when not used. Wood, bamboo, shells and natural pigments.
