Description: This listing is for a lot of 4 authentic vintage tribal masks from Papua New Guinea, hand-carved from palm wood and brought into Rockhampton, Australia in the early 1970s. Each mask is unique, featuring traditional tribal designs, embedded cowrie shells, beadwork, natural pigments, and fine detailing.

They were brought in before Australia's strict biosecurity rules prohibited the import of such organic tribal artifacts. Handcrafted in Papua New Guinea, pre-1974. Palm wood construction with natural decorations. 28 cm, and 2 measure 25.5 cm. Condition: Used/vintage with visible wear, age-related cracking, and broken tusks.
