This authentic hand carved Aboriginal war shield from Papua New Guinea is very old (in my opinion early 20th century). The shield is convex with intricate carvings. The shield measures 23..7" in length and is 5 " wide with an interior handle that measures 8 in length. The shield has typical agewear and wood deterioration to the edges (see image closeups) but is intact, solid, and functional. Any questions please contact me.
