Wokam (or Wokem) figures from the Keram River region of Papua New Guinea are traditional, carved wooden ancestor sculptures often representing a half-human, half-eagle figure. Primarily used as protectors and hunting charms, these stylized figures were displayed in homes or carried on trips for good luck. They often feature elongated heads and prominent noses, representing spirits or ancestral figures. 17.5 H with custom metal stand. All of the pieces we sell were collected by Ron Perry.
